Brazil November 2025: New VW Tera repeats at splendid #2
The VW Tera is the 2nd best-selling vehicle in Brazil for the 2nd straight month.
228,119 new light vehicles found a buyer in Brazil in November, a -5.2% year-on-year fall on a 2024 result that was the largest November volume in 10 years, so we are still at pretty high volumes. The year-to-date tally is up 2.1% to 2,283,818, the highest score at this stage of the year since 2019 (2,406,984). Fiat (-7.9%) falls slightly faster than the market but stays in top of the brands charts with 19.8% share vs. 21% year-to-date. Volkswagen (-0.9%) is stable at #2 with a strong 18% share. Chevrolet (-9.1%) follows, distancing Hyundai (-21.2%) and Renault (-13.6%) both in dire straits. In contrast Caoa Chery (+32.2%) and BYD (+21.9%) impress at #10 and #7 respectively, with Jeep (+8.3%) and Honda (+2.6%) also in positive in the remainder of the Top 10. GWM (+107.6%) breaks its ranking, volume and share this month.
In the modes aisle, the Fiat Strada (+5.3%) stays firmly in control with 5.7% of the market vs. 5.1% year-to-date. Below, the new VW Tera repeats at a fantastic 2nd place with 4.3% share, a new high for the model. The Tera has proven to be a goldmine for Volkswagen do Brasil. The Chevrolet Onix (-7.1%) is up four spots on October to land on the third step of the podium, ahead of the VW Polo (-36.2%) and T-Cross (-4.8%). The Fiat Argo (-18.6%) is in a bad place at #5 whereas the Fiat Mobi (+27.1%), Hyundai Creta (+26.4%) and Renault Kwid (+7.1%) all score satisfying gains. Note at #9 this is the Kwid’s highest ranking since last February.
