Colombia October 2025: Renault best-seller, Kia K3 now #1 YTD
The new Koleos helps push Renault to #1 in the Colombian brands ranking.
It’s another outstanding month for new vehicle sales in Colombia, up 36.3% year-on-year in October to 25,278. This way, the year-to-date volume is now up 30.1% to 200,435, with a prognosis to reach 245,000 units by year-end. This month Renault (+50.9%) takes the lead of the brands charts with 14.8% share, its first win since last June. Kia (+37.2%) is pushed down to #2 but holds onto the YTD top spot for just 301 sales above Renault. Chevrolet (+23.8%) repeats at #3 whereas Toyota (-16.5%) underperforms but gains one spot on last month to #4. Mazda (+5.5%) is shy at #5, distancing a surging Suzuki (+82.1%). Below Nissan (+17.7%) and Volkswagen (+39.8%), BYD (+94.2%) breaks its volume record and lodges a 9th Top 10 finish so far this year at #9.
The Mazda CX-30 (+46.8%) is back to #1 in the models ranking for the first time since last April and only the 2nd time in the past year. The Kia Picanto (+43.4%) is toppled to #2 ahead of the Kia K3 (+39.6%). The latter is now #1 year-to-date, overtaking the Toyota Corolla Cross down to a paltry #34 for the month. Renault places the Duster Nacional (+33.8%) at #4 and the Logan at #5. The BYD Yuan Up (+135.2%) is back up four ranks on September to a best ever #7, also reached in December 2024 and last May. The Toyota Prado (-6.8%) suffers year-on-year but rallies back up 38 spots to #8. Finally, notice the Renault Koleos boosted to #17 by the new generation, what is believed to be a ranking best for the nameplate.
