Qatar January-September 2025: Toyota Land Cruiser #1, Jetour T2 #2, Tank 500 #4

The Tank 500 is up to a world best 4th place in Qatar through September.

New light vehicle sales in Qatar are up a splendid 25.1% year-on-year through September to 64,043 units. Toyota (+11.4%) loses share yoy, going from 32.4% to a still ultra dominant 28.9%. Jetour (+184.6%) brilliantly overtakes Nissan (+13%) for 2nd place with 14% share, by far its best result worldwide. Kia (+7.4%) and Lexus (+13%) are weak yet up and round out the Top 5. Tank (+2819%) is the other success story of the year, up 24 spots to a world-best #6. No other Top 10 member beats the market. Further down, notice Haval (+2075%) and Changan (+71.3%).

Model-wise, the Toyota Land Cruiser (-3.4%) keeps the lead despite a year-on-year loss, going from 12.9% to 10% share. The Jetour T2 (+156.3%) is catching up, only 676 units below when adding the PHEV variant counted separately. The Toyota Hilux (+19.7%) is up to #3 and the other stunning performer is the Tank 500 (+4096.2%) up to #4 overall and even ranking #2 in July. Excellent score as well for the Nissan Patrol (+55.5%) up to #5. The Toyota Prado (+382.1%) enjoys the benefits of the new generation and slides inside the Top 10 at #10. The Jetour T1 is the best-selling recent launch at #11.
