The Toyota Corolla Cross is the best-selling  vehicle in Ireland in September.

Irish new car sales jump 9.7% year-on-year in September to 5,625 units, meaning the year-to-date volume is now up 3.7% to 121,689. Volkswagen (+25%) leaps to the brands top spot with a sturdy 13% share, while Toyota (-11.8%) is also up two spots on last month to #2 despite a harsh YoY fall. Leader in August, Skoda (+0.4%) is stable but drops to #3. Tesla (+81.1%) is in outstanding shape at #4 and 8.2% share vs. #15 and 2% so far this year. BYD (+165.1%) delivers the biggest YoY gain in market and lodges its 2nd ever Top 10 finish at #10. BMW (+90.8%), Dacia (+78%), Mercedes (+77%) and Kia (+33.8%) also impress.

The Toyota Corolla Cross (+117.9%) takes the lead of the models charts with 4.3% share, one single unit above the Tesla Model 3 (+45.5%). The Tesla Model Y (+149.4%) completes the podium with the VW T-Roc (+89.3%) and Skoda Octavia (+10.9%) in tow. The VW ID.4 (+137.7%) and Toyota Corolla (+28.3%) follow.
