Russia January 2025: Market slows down its growth to +11%
Jetour is the #7 brand in Russia in January.
Russian new car sales slow their growth down further in January at +11% to 89,072 units. The top 2 brands both beat the market: Lada is up 23.5% to 30.9% share and Haval up 22.9% to 13.3%. This is Haval’s best share since last October. Below a weak Chery (+1.8%), Geely (-30.9%) collapses at #4. Changan (+3.8%) is soft while Omoda (-12.8%) tumbles down year-on-year but gains two spots on December to #6. Jetour (+117.1%) is also up two ranks on last month to #7, its best ever ranking also reached last August and September. Belarusian brand Belgee (+273.7%) posts a fantastic year-on-year evolution as it was still gearing up in January last year. Jaecoo (+98.3%) is also very dynamic at #9 while Tank (-3.5%) returns to the Top 10 for the first time since last April.
Model-wise, the Lada Granta (+11.8%) and Vesta (+48.8%) easily retain the top 2 spots with 12.8% and 8% share respectively. The Haval Jolion (-4.7%) reclaims the third position it held over the Full Year 2024, exchanging ranks vs. last month with the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max (+23.2%). The Lada Niva Travel (-3.8%) is up one spot to #5, overtaking the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro (+9.3%). The Haval M6 (+10.2%) posts a 4th consecutive month inside the Top 10 at #9 while the Lada Largus (+2876.7%) ranks #10 as its production had just restarted a year ago.
