Ukraine Full Year 2024: Toyota and Renault lead, Zeekr impresses, Renault Duster #1

The Ukrainian new car market continues to progress in 2024 at +14.7% year-on-year to 69,813 sales. Toyota (+5.4%) stays in the brands pole position but trails the market quite significantly and sees its share fall from 16.8% in 2023 to 15.4% this year. The Japanese brand is #1 in Ukraine for the 4th straight year. Renault (+26.6%) surges ahead and gains one percentage point of share from 9.5% to 10.5%. Skoda (+1.9%) is weak but takes advantage of the imploding of Volkswagen (-12.6%) to grab the third spot. BMW (+17.1%) and Nissan (+40.1%) follow, both in great shape. Peugeot (+69.8%) manages the largest gain in the Top 10 and ranks #8. BYD (+288.3%) is up 13 ranks to #11 and Zeekr (+1023.3%) ends its first full year of sales at a splendid 22nd place, peaking at #19 in July, September and October.
In the models charts, the Renault Duster (+25.4%) remains in the pole position with an improved 9.8% share, distancing the Toyota RAV4 (+38.7%) also in great shape. The Mazda CX-5 (+5.5%) is up one spot to #3 ahead of the Kia Sportage surging from outside the 2023 Top 10 directly into 4th place. The VW ID.4 (-38.8%) freefalls to #5 while the Hyundai Tucson (-3.9%) makes it 6 SUVs in the Top 6. The VW Touareg also makes its appearance inside the Top 10 at #8.
