Jordan Full Year 2024: Changan #3 brand, Toyota Land Cruiser Pickup best-seller

New light vehicle sales in Jordan edge up 3.6% year-on-year in 2024 to 38,940 units. Toyota (-16.8%) struggles but keeps the brands lead at 32.5% share. In contrast Kia (+50.2%) surges ahead to 27.2% share vs. 18.8% a year ago. The best performer of the year is by far Changan, up an otherworldly 708.8% to 6.9% share in third place vs. just 0.9% in 2023. This is due to one model as we’ll see further down. Hyundai (-2.2%) and Isuzu (+3.9%) round out the Top 5 like they did last year, whereas MG (-46.1%) implodes from #3 to #6. Lexus (+98.9%) impresses at #8 and Mercedes (+460.6%) is up to #10 on incomplete 2023 data.

Model-wise, the Toyota Land Cruiser Pickup (-17.9%) holds onto the top spot for the third year in a row. It resists the surge of the Kia Sorento (+363.3%) which was #1 halfway through the year. The Toyota Land Cruiser (+19.9%) stays in third place ahead of the Changan E-Star BEV (+2120%) which was #1 over Q1. The Kia Sportage (+119.6%) is up four spots to #5, with the Hyundai Tucson (+105.6%) and Isuzu N-Series (+22.3%) also impressive in the remainder of the Top 10.
