Cyprus Full Year 2024: Kia Stonic and Sportage most popular

According to data by our local partners SEMO Cyprus and INNOSOFT, the Cypriot new car market edges up 2.2% year-on-year in 2024 to 15,056 units. Kia (+9.5%) easily holds onto the brands top spot with an improved 18.9% share vs. 17.6% last year. Toyota (-12.8%) and Volkswagen (+43.1%) end the year with the same volume albeit coming from very different 2023 bases. Nissan (+51.9%) also impresses at #4, toppling Hyundai (+8.8%). Jeep (+51.1%) and Ford (+15.5%) also shine in the remainder of the Top 10. Further down, Land Rover (+60.4%) and Lexus (+31.8%) stand out.

Kia signs a 1-2 in the models ranking: the Stonic (+75.4%) is the overall best-seller with 7.2% share ahead of the Sportage (+71.8%) at 6.1%. The Hyundai Tucson (+40%) is down one spot to #3, the Nissan Qashqai (+61.5%) is up five to #4 and the VW T-Roc (+38.8%) is up three to #5. The Toyota Yaris Cross (-7.5%), VW T-Cross (+103.6%) and Nissan Juke (+30.4%) ensure the Top 8 is entirely composed of SUVs.
