Russia October 2024: Haval, Geely at all time high, Toyota in Top 10

Toyota sales advance faster than a surging market in October.

171.179 new passenger cars found a home in Russia in October, a 52.4% year-on-year improvement. The year-to-date tally is now up 59.8% to 1,325,957. Lada (+30%) trails its home market again to 26.2% share vs. 27.3% so far the year. Haval (+85.6%) breaks its monthly volume record to just under 24,000 sales and 13.9% share, also a new record. Geely (+65.7%) advances to #3, here too reaching an all-time highest volume. Chery (+39.4%) and Changan (+71.8%) round out the Top 5 just as Belarusian brand Belgee (+1912%) celebrates one year in market with a new record volume. Omoda (-12.4%) is in difficulty at #7 ahead of Jetour (+111.4%) at an all time best monthly tally. For the first time since last March, Toyota (+62.5%) is inside the Top 10 at #9 and even beats the market to an improved 2.1% share vs. 1.3% YTD. 

Over in the models charts, the Lada Granta (+14.6%) easily stays on top but sees its market share thaw from 16.5% to 12.4% year-on-year. The Haval Jolion (+81.6%) advances to a best-ever #2, last reached in December 2023. It smashes its monthly volume record to lift it above the 10,000 mark for the first time. As a result the Lada Vesta (+62.4%) is knocked down to #3 despite outpacing the market. Like last month the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Mx (+78.5%), Tiggo 4 Pro (+43.6%) and Geely Monjaro (+49.6%) follow. The Haval M6 (+102.4%) scores the largest gain among the 10 best-seller and second Top 10 finish in the past 3 months.
