Slovenia November 2023: Tesla Model 3 up to record 2nd place

The Slovenian new car market rises 6.5% year-on-year in November to 3,860 sales, putting the year-to-date volume at +5.3% and 46,118 units. Volkswagen (-10.9%) frankly underperforms year-on-year but holds its market share to 14.9% vs. 14.7% year-to-date. In contrast Skoda (+23.3%) and Toyota (+52.5%) are in fantastic shape. Tesla (+302.2%) is up spectacularly from #17 in October to #6 this month with 4.8% share vs. 2.8% so far this year. Audi (+43.4%) is the only additional Top 10 member in positive as Citroen (-30.1%), Kia (-26.3%), Hyundai (-23.5%), Peugeot (-20.4%) and Renault (-17.6%) all freefall. 

Over in the models lane, the Skoda Octavia (+40.4%) retains the top spot with 3.4% share. The surprise of the month comes below: the Tesla Model 3 (+785.7%) surges 74 spots on last month to land at a record 2nd place, smashing its previous best of #8 hit last August. The Model 3 now ranks #37 year-to-date vs. #89 over the Full Year 2022. The VW Taigo (+107.5%) also soars, +25 ranks on October to #3, as does the Toyota Yaris Cross (+633.3%) at #4. In fact the entire Top 7 beats the market with the Peugeot 2008 (+123.1%), Skoda Kodiaq (+85.1%) and Kamiq (+29.4%) also lodging stunning gains.
