Croatia November 2023: Toyota Yaris Cross up to 2nd place

The Toyota Yaris Cross is only outsold by the Skoda Octavia this month.

New car sales in Croatia rise 27% year-on-year in November to 3,427 units, leading to a year-to-date volume up 28.7% to 53,282. Skoda (+69.5%) and Toyota (+75.7%) both end the month all guns blazing with 14.7% and 10.4% share respectively vs. 11.5% and 5.3% year-to-date. Volkswagen (-13.5%) is in a bad way but stays #1 year-to-date for just 43 units above Skoda. Renault (-11.3%) also suffers this month at #4. In contrast Dacia (+104.7%) and Opel (+234.8%) beat the market in the remainder of the Top 10. Below, Nissan (+337.5%), Tesla (+128%) and MG (+84%) make themselves noticed.

The Skoda Octavia (+140.7%) is the faraway leader this month with 6% of the market. It however remains #2 year-to-date below the Renault Clio (+57.1%) down to #4 in November. The Toyota Yaris Cross breaks its ranking record for the 2nd month in a row, lifting to #2 overall with 4% share. It still doesn’t appear in the year-to-date Top 20. The Dacia Sandero (+150%) stays at #3 vs. #6 year-to-date, with the Renault Clio and Dacia Duster (+110.3%) rounding out the Top 5. In fact the Top 8 models all outpace the galloping market, with the Toyota Corolla (+68.1%), Skoda Kamiq (+74.4%) and Toyota Yaris (+34.6%) in tow. The Opel Astra (#12) and Peugeot 308 (#13) make their first appearance of the year inside the Top 20.
