North Macedonia May 2023: VW Polo distant leader, market up 22.2%

The VW Polo is the best-selling vehicle in North Macedonia in May.

According to data shared with us by our Eastern European data partner CE Auto, the North Macedonian new car market is up a whopping 22.2% year-on-year in May to 551 units. The year-to-date volume is now up 10.1% to 2,265. This month the VW Polo (+5400%!) is a distant leader with a round 10% share, unsettling the Toyota Corolla (+38.1%) down one spot to #2. The Corolla however easily holds onto the year-to-date top spot while the Polo shoots up from #9 after 4 months to #2 after 5. The Renault Clio is also down one spot to #3, distancing the Skoda Scala and Citroen C3. The Audi A3 breaks into the Top 10 at #6, equal with the Skoda Octavia. The Seat Ateca (#9) spends a second consecutive month inside the Top 10 with the MG ZS at equal #9.
