China LCV April 2023: Wuling and Mini Truck back in charge

The Wuling Mini Truck is the best-selling LCV in China in April.

Sales of new Light Commercial Vehicles in China soar 52% year-on-year in April to 217,117 units on a weak year-ago basis. The year-to-date tally tilts into positive at +4% to 989,608. Wuling (+119.4%) more than doubles its sales year-on-year to reclaim the brands lead over Foton (+75%) Changan (+45.3%) follows ahead of Dongfeng (+22.6%) and Great Wall (+41.2%). Maxus (+90.7%) also beats the market at  #7 while KAMA (+83%) breaks into the Top 10 for the first time. Model-wise, the Wuling Mini Truck (+141.6%) is back in the top spot ahead of the Foton Light Truck (+78.1%) and Great Wall Pao Pickup (+84%).
