Bulgaria February 2023: Toyota C-HR and Dacia Spring top market up 17.5%
The Dacia Spring is up to #2 in Bulgaria in February.
In February, 2,656 new light vehicles hit Bulgarian roads, a very strong 17.5% year-on-year improvement. This means the year-to-date tally is now up 18.5% over the same period last year to 5,584. Toyota (-7.8%) compensates for a particularly high year-ago volume but climbs up two spots on January to lead the brands ranking with 12.8% share. Volkswagen (+54.9%) is also up two ranks to #2 while Hyundai (+93.6%) is up five to #3. Leader last month, Dacia (+77.9%) vastly outpaces the market year-on-year but falls to #4. Ford (+85.9%), BMW (+46.9%) and Skoda (+42.4%) also post very impressive upticks in the remainder of the Top 10.
Over in the models ranking, the Toyota C-HR (+35.1%) leaps up a whopping 25 spots on last month to top the charts with 4.8% share. It is distanced by the Dacia Spring up to a record 2nd place. The Toyota Corolla (-32.8%) struggles year-on-year but remains in third position above the Hyundai Kona (+169%). The Ford Ranger (+516.7%) and Dacia Sandero (+119.4%) also score spectacular gains below, with the Sandero easily resining the year-to-date top spot. The Ford Transit/Custom (+110.7%) also more than doubles its sales year-on-year to land at #8 but all remaining Top 10 members are down, with the Citroen C3 (-29.5%) hit the hardest.
