Belgium November 2022: BMW reaches all time high market share, sales up 23.4%

BMW holds 12.2% of the Belgian market in November, a record.

New car sales in Belgium soar 23.4% year-on-year in November to 29,778 units, leading to a year-to-date tally off -5.8% to 341,719. In pole position, BMW (+38.5%) is well above the market growth rate to break its share record at 12.2%, eclipsing its previous best of 12% reached last April. Almost 1,000 sales below, Volkswagen (+50.7%) is also in great shape year-on-year but only matches its YTD share at 8.9%. In fact 6 of the Top 8 brands beat the market, with Toyota (+35%) the most dynamic ahead of Audi (+26.4%), Volvo (+25.6%) and Mercedes (+25.1%). Peugeot (+19.1%) and Dacia (+15.6%) fall short while Renault (-3.1%) and Citroen (-11%) go against the market with year-on-year declines to round out the Top 10. Below, Suzuki (+122.3%), Mini (+105.2%) and Cupra (+102.8%) deliver sensational lifts.
