China LCV May 2022: Market down -41%, Great Wall (-17%) fares best again

Great Wall is down just -17% in a market off -41%

New Light Commercial Vehicle sales sink -41% year-on-year in May to 196,767 units, leading to a year-to-date tally down -27% to 1,149,344. Foton (-31%) climbs up to the brands pole position, dislodging a freefalling Wuling (-56%). Changan (-22%) and Dongfeng (-44%) follow while like last month Great Wall (-17%) posts by far the best hold in the Top 10. Ford (-34%), JMC (-36%), CNHTC (-37%) and Maxus (-38%) also beat the market. The Foton Light Truck (-32%) remains the best-selling LCV above the Wuling Mini Truck (-62%) and Changan Light Truck (-24%).
