Lebanon March 2022: Mitsubishi and L200 take control of market up 9.2%
The Mitsubishi L200 is the best-selling vehicle in Lebanon in March.
The Lebanese new light vehicle market is up 9.2% year-on-year in April to 1,002 sales. Mitsubishi (+211.9%) triples its sales year-on-year to brilliantly take the lead of the brands charts, toppling Toyota (-41.1%) at 33.9% share vs. 24.5%. This means the two brands add up to 58.4% of the Lebanese market this month. Suzuki (+39.3%) and Nissan (+408.3%) also show off whereas Lexus (-43%) crumbles at #5. Chevrolet (+620%), MG (+150%), Renault (+25%) and GMC (+22.2%) also beat the market in the remainder of the Top 10.
As expected the Mitsubishi L200 (+288.8%) storms into the pole position of the models ranking, selling almost three times the #2, the Toyota Hilux (+13.7%). The Toyota Land Cruiser (-66.2%) is in complete freefall at #3 unlike the Nissan Sunny (+1166.7%), Suzuki Baleno (+200%), MG ZS (+675%) and Renault Sandero (+2900%). The Chevrolet Captiva (#8) aka Baojun 530 is the best-selling recent launch above the Toyota Raize (#23) and Toyota Corolla Cross (#25).
