Israel April 2022: MG (+333.5%), Mazda (+43.6%) stand out in market off -17.8%

Thanks to our Israeli partner cartube.co.il, we can share with you today an All-brands ranking for April for Israel, models data is a quarterly occurrence. 20,408 new light vehicles found a new home this month, a -17.8% year-on-year fall which brings the year-to-date volume to 110,897, down -11.5% over the sale period in 2021. Toyota (-3.8%) passes Hyundai (-15.5%) to become the most popular brand in Israel for the second time in the past 3 months and the third time in the past 5. Kia (+1.8%) resists very well and improves its share to 15.2% vs. 14.1% so far this year. Mazda (+43.6%) scores the largest year-on-year gain in the Top 7 with Citroen (+6.3%) and Mitsubishi (-8.9%) also outpacing the market but Skoda (-72.4%) in complete freefall due to stock issues. In contrast, MG (+333.5%) is up 4-fold year-on-year to #8, however this is not its highest ever ranking in Israel as it hit #7 last December. Newcomer Geely is up five ranks on last month to a record #14. Other Chinese Seres (+5950%) and Aiways (+1070%) also post surreal gains below.
