The Jolion helps Haval hit an impressive 5th place in January.

According to figures released by Naamsa, the South African new light vehicle market is up a very satisfying 19.5% year-on-year in January to 41,382 units. Hyundai places at #4 with 6.4% but the surprise of the month is Haval up to a fantastic 5th place with 5.9% share. Model-wise, below an ever dominant Toyota Hilux at 6.8% share, the Toyota Starlet (a Suzuki Baleno rebadge) shoots up to 2nd place with 3.6% share, one percentage point above its FY2021 level and knocking the VW Polo down to #3. The Toyota Urban Cruiser (aka Suzuki Vitara Brezza) is up to an impressive 4th place while the Toyota Corolla Cross is up to #6. The Haval Jolion cracks the Top 10 at #10 vs. #22 over the Full Year 2021.
