Northern Ireland Full Year 2021: Hyundai Tucson soars to first place in market up 1.2%

New car sales in Northern Ireland are up 1.2% year-on-year to 36,616 units. Helped by a new generation, the Hyundai Tucson (-3.7%) is up three spots on 2020 to land in pole position for the year with 2.6% share. Like in 2020 the VW Golf (-23.2%) ranks in 2nd place, this time above last year’s leader the Ford Focus (-24.3%). The VW T-Roc soars from outside the 2020 Top 10 directly into 4th place while the Nissan Qashqai rounds out the Top 5 like last year. The Kia Sportage (#6), Toyota Yaris (#9) and Hyundai Kona (#10) also make their entrance inside the Northern Irish Top 10.
