Luxembourg November 2021: VW back to #1, Hyundai (+70.3%), Fiat (+77.6%) impress in market down -16.6%
Hyundai sales are up 70.3% in a market down -16.6%.
New car sales in Luxembourg drop -16.6% year-on-year in November to 3,177 units, leading to a year-to-date tally down -1.7% to 41,140. Volkswagen (-22.9%) falls faster than the market but rallies back up three spots on October to reclaim the pole position it holds year-to-date. Mercedes (-35.5%) is toppled to #2 and BMW (-12.4%) to #3 albeit resisting a little better. Audi (-32.5%) dives but Peugeot (-13.6%) manages to keep its loss below the market rate. Hyundai (+70.3%) and Fiat (+77.6%) go completely against the grain with fantastic year-on-year upticks at #6 and #7 respectively, while Volvo (-2.4%) is almost stable. In contrast, Skoda (-34.2%) and Renault (-57.6%) skid down. Outside the Top 10, Mini (+87.5%), Toyota (+86.8%), Opel (+65.1%), Nissan (+60.9%), Dacia (+44.2%), Kia (+14.1%) and Porsche (+10.8%) shine while Cupra (+340%) surges.
