Luxembourg January 2020: BMW (+14.5%) and Mercedes (+17.6%) top market up 2.7%

BMW is the best-selling brand in Luxembourg for the 2nd month running.

Unlike most of its European neighbours, new car sales in Luxembourg start the year with an uptick at +2.7% to 4.319 registrations. Like neighbouring Belgium and like in December, BMW (+14.5%) is the most popular brand in the country, this time with a smashing 12% share. Mercedes (+17.6%) isn’t too far below – 18 units exactly  – at a very impressive 11.6% share. As a result annual leader Volkswagen (-4.5%) is kept to #3 while Renault (+28.8%) and Skoda (+35.3%) post fantastic gains in the remainder of the Top 5. Further down, Porsche (+174.1%), Seat (+113.7%), Suzuki (+50%), Kia (+16.9%) and Jeep (+12.5%) make themselves noticed.
