Luxembourg March 2021: Peugeot (+352.7%), BMW (+160.2%) headline market back up 77.5%
Peugeot sales are up almost 5-fold year-on-year in March.
New car sales in Luxembourg rally back up 77.5% to 4.967 units on year-ago volumes impacted by Covid-19 business closures. The year-to-date tally is now up 4.6% to 12.456. Once again despite not matching the market growth rate Volkswagen (+42.4%) repeats at #1 while Mercedes (+68.3%) reclaims the 2nd spot off BMW (+160.2%) posting a wild year-on-year gain. Peugeot (+352.7%) scores by far the largest uptick in the Top 10, with Fiat (+120%), Citroen (+102.6%), Renault (+95.5%) and Ford (+92%) also beating the market. Further down, DS (+330.8%), Opel (+283.3%), Mini (+153.6%) and Mazda (+142.9%) stand out while newcomer Cupra edges up one spot on last month to #25 and 0.9% share.
