Portugal November 2020: Ford (+8%) places Puma at #7 in market down -27.9%

The Ford Puma has cracked the Portuguese Top 10.

New car sales in Portugal stumble down -27.9% year-on-year in November to 11.826 units, leading to a year-to-date tally down -36.3% to 131.165. Renault (-25.8%) is back in the brands lead above Peugeot (-29.8%) while BMW (-5.2%) resists very well and steps up on spot on October to #3, bypassing Mercedes (-17.9%). Ford (+8%) sports the only gain in the Top 10 and gains 4 ranks on last month to #5. Land Rover (+196.9%), Ferrari (+33.3%), Tesla (+28.6%), Honda (+18.3%) and Audi (+1.8%) score the only additional gains in market.

In the models ranking, the Renault Clio (-7.8%) resists an impressive assault by the Peugeot 2008 (+306.1%) up 4-fold year-on-year to end the months 33 sales below the Clio. The BMW 1 Series (+37.4%) also impresses at #3, distancing the Mercedes A-Class (-30.4%) and Renault Captur (-33.8%). After breaking into the Top 10 for the first time in October at #9, the Ford Puma advances to #7 while the Toyota Yaris (+6.5%) sigs the only additional gain in the Top 10. Below, the Nissan Juke (+197.6%), Renault Zoe (+113.5%), Nissan Leaf (+55.3%), Opel Corsa (+52.7%), BMW 2 Series (+49.5%) and Volvo XC40 (+48.9%) stand out.
