North Macedonia September 2020: Skoda Octavia (+21.1%), Toyota Yaris (+83.3%), C-HR (#9) can’t prevent -23.4% market loss

The Skoda Octavia is the best-selling vehicle in North Macedonia.

Based on data by our Eastern European partner CE Auto, new car sales in North Macedonia remain at low levels in September, down another -23.4% year-on-year to 423 registrations which leads to a year-to-date tally off -33.3% to 3647. This month the Skoda Octavia (+21.1%) surges to pole position now that the new generation is well and truly installed in the country’s dealerships. As a result the Octavia shoots from #10 to #5 in the year-to-date charts. The Toyota Yaris (+83.3%) does even better and climbs 5 ranks on last month to #2, both nameplates toppling the Citroen C3 which remains by far the YTD leader with 4.7% share. The Toyota Corolla (+7.7%) is the only additional gainer in the Top 6 while the Toyota C-HR makes its very first appearance in the North Macedonian Top 10 at equal #9.
