Hungary June 2020: Suzuki Vitara and SX4 S-Cross top market down -23.7%

The Hungarian new car market slows down its fall in June to -23.7% and 10.355 registrations, leading to a year-to-date tally down -25.3% to 55.670. Suzuki (-47.5%) confirms it has reclaims the top of the brands ladder, but a catastrophic start of the year keeps the carmaker stuck to #4 over H1 2020. Toyota (+4.7%) flouts the negative context to improve to 9.2% share and easily keeps the YTD leadership at 10.5% of the market (+17.5%). In fact the Top 5 brands are unchanged on last month with Ford (-24.8%) and Dacia (-22.7%) evolving roughly like the market and Volkswagen (-0.9%) very solid in 5th place. Model-wise, the Suzuki Vitara (-59.8%) and SX4 S-Cross (-43.8%) are back to the top two spots for the first time since last August, with the Renault Clio (+51.3%), Skoda Octavia (-41.2%) and Dacia Duster (-34.8%) in tow.
