Kazakhstan February 2020: Lada reclaims lead in market up 27.5%

The Lada Granta is the best-selling vehicle in Kazakhstan this month.

The Kazakh new vehicle market continues to soar ahead in February at +27.5% to 5.602 registrations, leading to a year-to-date tally up 24% to 10.971. Lada (-12.5%) manages its first monthly win since last August despite going completely against the market with a double-digit drop, distancing the hero of the past 5 months, Hyundai (+44%), by less than 100 units. Below, Toyota (-11.1%), Ravon, Kia (+104.2%) and Renault (+45.1%) camp on their January positions and no other Top 10 carmaker manages to outpace the market. Model-wise, the Lada Granta (+13.1%) repeats at #1 ahead of the Ravon Nexia R3 and Hyundai Tucson (+13.1%), replicating January’s podium. The Hyundai Creta (+517.2%) and Kia Rio (+256.1%) sign the largest gains in the Top 10, with the GAZ Gazelle (+33.6%) also impressive.
