Scotland (UK) Full Year 2019: Ford Fiesta leads, Mercedes A-Class and Vauxhall Grandland X break into Top 10

Thanks to our partnership with SMMT we can share with you today December and Full Year 2019 Scottish registrations. Keep in mind this is only a zoom in by UK nation, all sales figures will be included in our upcoming UK Full Year 2019 update. The Scottish market is in great difficulty for the third year running and fares the worst in the UK for the second consecutive year with sales down -5.4% to 176.503. The Ford Fiesta (-0.6%) remains in the lead for the 2nd year running and only the 3rd time in the past 12 years after 2014, distancing its archenemy the Vauxhall Corsa (-8.8%). The VW Golf (+11.7%) leaps up two spots to #3, leapfrogging past the VW Polo (-13.6%) and Ford Focus (-17.4%). The Mercedes A-Class brilliantly break into the annual Scottish Top 10 for the first time, landing at #6 and celebrating its first ever monthly win in November. Two additional nameplates also make their first steps inside the annual Top 10: the Ford Kuga at #9 and the Vauxhall Grandland X replacing the Crossland X in the year-end Top 10 at #10. Notice also the VW T-Roc up to #2 in August, the BMW X3 up to #4 in December and the Tesla Model 3 up to #6 in August.
