Morocco November 2019: Dacia (+7.7%) resists, Skoda in Top 10 in market back down (-3.4%)
Dacia is the only Top 7 carmaker in positive in November.
The recovery was short-lived: after gaining ground for two straight months, the Moroccan new vehicle market is back in negative in November at -3.4% to 13.309 units, leading to a year-to-date tally down -7% to 143.993. In the detail, passenger cars drop -6.5% to 11.809 whereas light commercials gain 30% to 1.500. Year-to-date, passenger cars are down -9.8% to 128.023 and LCVs up 24.5% to 15.970. In the PC brands ranking, market leader Dacia (+7.7%) not only overwhelms the charts with 32.3% share but is also the only carmaker in positive in the Top 7, distancing Renault (-7.4%), Volkswagen (-22.6%), Hyundai (-7.2%) and Peugeot (-32.6%). The tail end of the Top 10 shines with Toyota (+24.2%), Skoda (+26.1%) and Opel (+129.4%) all posting extravagant gains.
