Kazakhstan October 2019: Hyundai (+58.9%) holds onto top spot in market up 18.9%
The new Santa Fe (+8200%) helps Hyundai stay at #1 in Kazakhstan.
New vehicle sales in Kazakhstan resume their run of double-digit year-on-year gains in October to 7 in the past 8 months at +18.9% to 6.916 units, leading to a year-to-date volume up 18.6% to 58.737. Hyundai (+58.9%) manages a third ever monthly win in the brands ranking, remaining at unusually high market share levels with 20.7%. Toyota (+19.5%) matches the market to stay at #2 with 18% share vs. 20% YTD while Lada (-2.6%) underperforms at 16.2% for the month vs. 20.8% so far this year. After reaching 5.5% share in August and 9.1% in September, resuscitated brand Ravon seems to have hit its plateau, down to 8.8% this month and distancing Kia (-23.4%), Renault (+4.2%), GAZ (-8%) and Nissan (-9.9%) all underperforming. Below, JAC (+169%) is back inside the Top 10 while BMW (+150%), Mitsubishi (+44.9%) and UAZ (+40.9%) also shine. Model-wise, the Toyota Camry (+49.2%) holds onto the top spot ahead of the Ravon Nexia R3, Hyundai Accent (+114.2%) and Tucson (+73.9%) with the Lada Granta (+83.6%) back up 3 spots on September to round out the Top 5. Only the Hyundai Creta (+47.9%) and Toyota Prado (+9.7%) also gain ground in the remainder of the Top 10, with the Hyundai Santa Fe (+8200%) posting a stratospheric gain thanks to the new generation to land at #11.
