China LCV September 2019: Maxus, Dongfeng, Jinbei shine in market back in positive (+1%)

Maxus wholesales soar 33% year-on-year in China in September.

Up 1% year-on-year to 269.159 units, Light Commercial Vehicles wholesales gain ground for the first time since last April but remain in negative year-to-date at -5% to 2.326.707. Wuling (-2%) is once again ultra dominant with over 56.000 units, distancing Foton (+1%) and Changan (+3%) both muted but up. In a Top 10 brands unchanged on last month, Maxus (+33%), Dongfeng (+31%), Jinbei (+22%) and Ford (+11%) all post fantastic gains. Model-wise, the Wuling Mini Truck (+10%) finally takes advantage of its new generation with a double-digit gain, tilting its YTD tally into positive. It is followed as per the YTD order by the Foton Light Truck (+9%) and Chana Light Truck (+5%).
