UK nations September 2019: Tesla Model 3 #1 in London again, Vauxhall Corsa tops 2 nations
The Tesla Model 3 is #1 in London again.
Thanks to our partnership with SMMT we can share with you today the Top 10 best-sellers for all UK nations as well as London in September. Keep in mind this is a zoom in by nation, all sales figures being included in our upcoming September 2019 UK update. This month only England (+2.9%) is in positive, pulling the entire UK in its wake at 298.309 units while Wales (-0.5%) edges down to 11.880, Northern Ireland (-4.2%) skids to 5.140 and Scotland (-11.3%) implodes to 27.646. Year-to-date, all nations are down, with Wales (-1.3%) resisting best at 63.339 ahead of Northern Ireland (-1.5%) at 43.129, England (-2.4%) at 1.606.823 and Scotland (-4.7%) lagging here too at 144.677.
The Tesla Model 3 is estimated to top the London sales charts for the 2nd moth running with 3.6% share, distancing the Mercedes A-Class (-6.3%), Ford Fiesta (-5.6%), Mini, Ford Focus (+61.9%) and Toyota Prius (+50%). The Vauxhall Corsa justifies its UK pole position by topping the English and Scottish charts, reclaiming the YTD top spot in the latter, and ranking #2 in Wales. The Ford Fiesta is #1 in Northern Ireland and Wales and #2 in England and Scotland, the Hyundai Tucson is #2 in Northern Ireland, the Mercedes A-Class is #3 England and Scotland, the VW Golf is #3 in Northern Ireland and the Ford Focus #3 in Wales. Other great performers include the Renault Clio #4 in Northern Ireland and #8 in Scotland, the Renault Captur #7 in Northern Ireland and the Range Rover Evoque snapping its first Top 10 finish in Scotland at #8.
