Colombia August 2019: Renault (+30.8%) places 5 models in Top 6 in market up 8.7%

The Renault Logan is the best-selling vehicle in Colombia in August.

The Colombian new vehicle market continues to its great run in 2019 with August deliveries up 8.7% to 23.305 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 5.3% to 162.419. Renault (+30.8%) reaffirms its newfound grip on the Colombian sales charts at a fantastic 21.5% share vs. just 17% for its archenemy Chevrolet (-3.2%) in difficulty again. Volkswagen (+46.3%), Hyundai (+23.3%), Suzuki (+21%) and Toyota (+18.7%) also impress in the Top 10 but Nissan (-2.5%), Kia (-5.1%), Mazda (-14%) and Ford (-17.2%) skid down. Model-wise, Renault places 5 nameplates in the Top 6: the Logan (+4.8%), Duster (+12%) and Sandero (-1.8%) trust the podium while the Sandero Stepway (+12.2%) and Kwid (new) round up the Top 6. The Chevrolet Onix (+104.2%) is up to #4 and the Chevrolet Sail (+42.9%) steps into the Top 10.
