Hong Kong (China) May 2019: Nissan (+92.4%), Porsche (+92.2%) defy market down -4.5%

Porsche sales surge 92.2% year-on-year in Hong Kong in May.

New light vehicle sales in Hong Kong skid down -4.5% year-on-year in May to 3.568 units, leading to a year-to-date tally down -4.8% to 15.848. Toyota (+2.4%) swims upstream with a slight uptick leading to a 32.4% market share vs. 31.9% YTD, whereas the rest of the Top 4 is in dire straits: Honda (-12.6%), BMW (-10.2%) and Mercedes (-29.6%) follow. But Nissan (+92.4%), Porsche (+92.2%) and Lexus (+35.6%) all post fantastic gains just below. Audi (-48.1%), Volkswagen (-29.3%) and Kia (-36%) round up the Top 10.
