London (UK) First Half 2019: Ford Fiesta resists Mercedes A-Class attack, Audi Q2 in Top 10

The Audi Q2 breaks into the London Top 10 in 2019.

Thanks to our partnership with SMMT, we can now share with you new car sales data in Greater London. The market edges down -1.3% year-on-year to 46.849 units, a much better hold than the UK overall (-3.4%). The Ford Fiesta (-16.1%) recuperates the #1 YTD spot in extremis in June but it’s the Mercedes A-Class (+40.8%) that led for most of the First Semester, ending the period just 10 units below the Fiesta. The Toyota Yaris (+27.1%) is also in outstanding shape, up 3 spots to climb onto the podium, dislodging the VW Golf (-27.4%) and Nissan Qashqai (-14.1%). Other great performers include the Ford Focus (+10.2%), VW Polo (+8.5%) and the VW Tiguan and Audi Q2 both breaking into the Top 10.
