Slovenia April 2019: Volkswagen up 20.8%, Renault Clio back to #1

The VW T-Roc is up to a record 4th place in Slovenia.

New car sales in Slovenia drop -2.2% year-on-year to 6.446 units, leading to a year-to-date tally down -1.1% to 26.708. Volkswagen (+20.8%) surges to a stunning 22.2% share atop the brands ranking, well above Renault (-16.6%) at 13% and Skoda (-2.8%) at 9.3%. Nissan (+70.1%) and Citroen (+11%) ignore the negative context to both post double-digit gains in the Top 10. The Renault Clio (-5%) reclaims the top spot it has held for the a staggering 21 years with a strong 5.9% share vs. 4.9% YTD, distancing the VW Golf (+31%), Tiguan (+21.9%), Skoda Fabia (+63.3%), VW Passat (+61.8%) and VW T-Roc (+33.9%) all posting spectacular lifts. The Nissan Qashqai (+83%), Fiat 500 (+138.3%) and Dacia Sandero (+30.4%) also shine in the remainder of the Top 20.
