Luxembourg March 2019: Audi back on podium in market up 4.5%

Audi is up to equal #3 with BMW in March in Luxembourg.

The Luxembourg new car market gains 4.5% year-on-year in March to 5.621 registrations, lifting the year-to-date volume up 4% to 14.867. Volkswagen remains the unattainable brands lead at 13.4% while Mercedes cements its 2nd spot at 8.9%. Audi is all caught up and soars 6 spots on February to come level with BMW in third place with 7.4% of the market. Renault overtakes Peugeot to #5, Ford remains at #7 above Skoda and Citroen, both down. Fiat is up 3 spots to break into the Top 10, followed closely by Volvo also up 3. Toyota is up 5 to #16, Tesla up 10 to #18 thanks to the Model 3, Porsche up 4 to #22 and Chevrolet up 10 to #33. Borgward doesn’t seem to be able to take off, down 8 spots on February to #43 with just two units sold. Model-wise, the VW Golf (-2.4%) tops the charts but drops year-on-year, distancing the VW Tiguan (+49.6%), Mercedes A-Class (+43.8%) and VW T-Roc (+15.7%) all posting very healthy gains.
