Cyprus April 2019: Kia monopolises podium, Ceed storms into pole position

The Kia Cee’d is the best-selling vehicle in Cyprus in April.

Thanks to our partnership with SEMO Cyprus and INNOSOFT, we can share with you today Cyprus new car sales data for April, when the market drops 1.2% to 1.058 units, leading to a year-to-date volume up 11.3% to 5.246. This month the Kia Cee’d goes from outside the YTD Top 30 at end-March directly to #2, meaning it tops the April charts with a mammoth 12.9% share, most probably due to a bulk order by a local rental car company in preparation for the summer season. In fact Kia strikingly monopolises the April podium with the Rio (+86.3%) and Stonic (+300%) in tow and also scores a 1-2 year-to-date with the Stonic (+36.7%) and Cee’d (+264.4%). Other great performers include the Jeep Renegade (+975%), VW T-Roc (+236.8%) and Ford Fiesta (+166.7%) while the Hyundai i20 (#13), Volvo XC40 (#14) and Hyundai Kona (#17) make it 3 recent launches (<12 months) in the Top 20.
