The Renault Kwid is the 2nd best-selling vehicle in Colombia in April.
The Colombian new vehicle market is down for the second time this year at -2.1% year-on-year in April to 19.788, tilting the year-to-date volume into negative at -0.2% to 74.423. Renault (+5.1%) goes against the grain to sail off in the distance as #1 brand in the country with a majestic 22.2% share vs. just 16% for archenemy Chevrolet (-26.9%) in complete meltdown. Toyota (+16.6%), Suzuki (+8.7%), Mazda (+5.3%) and Ford (+4.8%) also shine in the Top 10 while further down, Mitsubishi (+106.8%), Peugeot (+61.2%), Subaru (+51.2%), Jeep (+43.8%), Hino (+39.1%), Audi (+19.1%), Mercedes (+14%) and BMW (+11.1%) make themselves noticed. Over in the models ranking, below the perennial leader the Renault Sandero (-26.2%), the Renault Kwid shoots up 16 spots on its inaugural month in March to land at a fantastic 2nd place overall – an instant blockbuster here. Renault even monopolises the Top 4 with the Duster (-11.3%) and Logan (-27.4%) below.
