Finland November 2018: Renault Clio leaps up to 2nd place in market down 10.7%
The Renault Clio is the 2nd best-selling vehicle in Finland in November.
For the third month in a row following WLTP changeover, Finnish new car sales drop, this time by 10.7% in November to 8.593 units, yet the year-to-date tally remains in positive at +3.3% to 112.812 sales. The Top 4 best-selling brands all outpace the market: Toyota (-4%), Volkswagen (+3%), Skoda (+0.4%) and Volvo (-3%), whereas Ford (-11%) and Renault (-10%) roughly match the market. Mercedes (+13%) posts the only double-digit gain in the Top 15, with Mitsubishi (+147%), Subaru (+97%) and Mazda (+21%) also impressive whereas Land Rover (-71%), Nissan (-51%), Audi (-47%), Tesla (-43%), Opel (-35%), Seat (-31%), Honda (-21%) and BMW (-19%) all tumble down. The models ranking gets a good shake this month: the VW Golf snaps its first monthly win since last May thanks to stable sales, while the Renault Clio (+106%) leaps from outside the Top 30 directly into 2nd place with 4.2% share, earning the 22nd YTD spot vs. #12 over the Full Year 2017. The Skoda Octavia (-27%) is knocked down one spot to #3 while enduring a steep decline whereas the Ford Focus (+42%), Toyota Auris (+51%), Skoda Superb (+55%) and Toyota C-HR (+49%) all sign splendid gains.
