Colombia May 2018: Volkswagen, Toyota, Fiat pull market up 3.4%
Fiat is up 26-fold on May 2017 and the Uno breaks into the Top 20.

New vehicle sales in Colombia gain 3.4% year-on-year in May to 20.589 units, lifting the year-to-date volume up 2% to 95.167. Chevrolet (-4%) remains the best-selling brand in the country despite declining, distancing Renault (+2%), Nissan (+9%) and Mazda (+5%) up one spot on April to #4. Kia (-3%) is knocked down to #5 whereas Toyota (+53%), Volkswagen (+45%) and Suzuki (+21%) post by far the largest gains in the Top 10. In contrast, Hyundai (-46%) and Ford (-28%) are in great difficulty. Fiat continues its comeback, up 25-fold on May 2017, with Jeep (+212%), Mini (+156%), Foton (+101%), Citroen (+48%), Subaru (+45%), Peugeot (+43%), JAC (+24%) and Changan (+23%) also very strong. The Renault Sandero remains the best-selling nameplate in the country at a strong 9.1% share in May, distancing the Chevrolet Spark and Kia Picanto as is the case YTD. The Renault Duster outsells the Logan and Chevrolet Sail while the Chevrolet Onix is up 12 spots on last month to #8, the Nissan Versa up 9 to #15 and the Fiat Uno up 22 to #19. The JAC S2 breaks into the Top 40 for the first time.
