Russia Full Year 2017: Now with Top 365 All-models ranking

The UAZ Profi lands at #148 at home in 2017.

Today we can share with you complete data for the Full Year 2017 Russian models ranking with 365 nameplates included. As is the tradition the GAZ Gazelle is added to the original ranking we published in January, dropping one spot to #6 despite sales up 4% year-on-year. This time the UAZ Bukhanka (-12%) doesn’t make it into the annual Top 25 at #26. Below the well-known Top 25, the Mitsubishi Outlander (+50%), UAZ Patriot (-18%), Nissan Almera (+6%), Kia Cee’d (+1%) and Ford Focus (+25%) are the next best things. The Kia Optima (+104%), Kia Cerato (+82%), Ford Transit (+62%), Kia Sorento (+59%), Ford Kuga (+54%), Hyundai Santa Fe (+52%), Kia Soul (+45%) and BMW X5 (+29%) post some of the most sizeable year-on-year uplifts in the Top 50.

The Chery Tiggo 3 is the #1 newcomer in Russia in 2017, although it is just a renaming.
The Kia Sorento is up 59% year-on-year in Russia.The Chery Tiggo 2 lands at #143.

The Lifan X60 (#46) remains the most popular Chinese nameplate in Russia but drops 5 spots and 3% on 2016. It is followed by the Lifan X50 at #65 (-20%), the Lifan Solano at #73 (+63%) and the Chery Tiggo 3 at #91, the best-selling new nameplate for 2017 (although it is mainly a renaming of the Chery Tiggo) and one of only two able to crack the annual Top 100 thanks to 2.651 deliveries. Talking about newcomers, out of 31 new nameplates pointing their bonnet in the Russian 2017 sales charts, a staggering 14 are Chinese… The best performers are, below the Tiggo 3, the Skoda Kodiaq (#100), Haval H6 (#118), Toyota Fortuner (#128), Ravon Gentra (#140), Chery Tiggo 2 (#143), Genesis G80 (#146), UAZ Profi (#148) and Lifan Myway (#156).
