Kazakhstan September 2017: Ravon Nexia R3 snaps first pole position

Thanks to our partnership with autoconsulting.kz, we can share with you today September data for Kazakhstan. Sales continue to recover at +46.7% to 4.925 units, lifting the year-to-date volume into positive territory at +4.7% to 34.099 sales. Toyota keeps the pole position it holds year-to-date but trails the market at +23% to 21.4% share vs. 20.1% so far this year. Lada more than doubles its sales year-on-year but remains below its YTD level at 16.1% vs. 17.3%. Newly launched Ravon is up 12-fold on September 2016, holding onto the third spot, and followed by Hyundai (+62%). In the remainder of the Top 10, only Chevrolet beats the market at +106%. Further down, Subaru (+171%), Mitsubishi (+90%) and Audi (+214%) shine while Lifan remains by far the most popular Chinese carmaker at #13.

Model-wise, the Ravon Nexia R3 is up 12-fold to offer Ravon its very first monthly top spot anywhere in the world, just over a year after launch. It edges past the Toyota Camry (+10%) for just 9 sales with the GAZ Gazelle up 35% to round up the podium. Both the Hyundai Elantra and the Lada 4×4 more than double their volume year-on-year to complete the Top 5, with the Lada Largus up 39-fold to #6 and the Lada Vesta up 138-fold to #10.
