Slovenia September 2017: VW Golf #1 for the 3rd time in past 4 months

New car sales in Slovenia are up 4.9% year-on-year in September to 5.281 registrations, leading to a year-to-date total up 10.4% to 54.115 units. Volkswagen is back in the lead despite a 2% drop to 14.8% share, distancing Renault (+7%) and Skoda which delivers the largest year-on-year gain in the Top 10 at +12%. Hyundai (+3%) and Opel (+8%) round up the Top 5 while Citroen (-7%) and Nissan (-16%) struggle in the Top 10. Beyond, Fiat (+20%), Toyota (+36%), Mazda (+65%), Volvo (+78%), Alfa Romeo (+120%) and Honda (+178%) all impress. In the models ranking, thanks to sales up a whopping 84% year-on-year the VW Golf takes the lead for the third time in the past four months but remains #2 year-to-date below the Renault Clio edging up just 1% to #4 this month. The Skoda Octavia is up 12% to #2 and the Renault Megane up 58% but down to #3 after snapping the pole position last month. The Skoda Fabia (+32%), VW Passat (+43%), Ford Focus (+273%) and Dacia Sandero (+447%) all post impressive gains inside the Top 10. Below, the Hyundai i30 (+327%), Seat Alhambra (+115%), Ford C-Max (+170%) and Fiat 500L (+464%) also shoot up while the Toyota C-HR (#39), Skoda Kodiaq (#42) and Opel Crossland X (#46) dominate recent launches.
