Rep. of Macedonia August 2017: Mitsubishi L200 surprise leader

The Mitsubishi L200 is the best-selling vehicle in the Republic of Macedonia in August.

Thanks to our partnership with Eastern European data specialist CE Auto we can share with you today August data for the Republic of Macedonia. Sales are down 12% year-on-year to 405 units, but the year-to-date tally remains in positive at +7% to 3.874 sales. One of the smallest markets in Europe, the Republic of Macedonia is also one of its most unstable in terms of ranking. In August we have a surprise leader in the Mitsubishi L200, granted, only 20 sales were enough to reach that spot but the nameplate had never appeared in our Macedonian Top 10s before. The Peugeot 208, also a rare member of the Top 10 here, follows in 2nd place while the Citroen C3 rounds the podium. Leader both in 2016 and so far this year, the Dacia Duster is relegated to 6th place, while the 2017 #2, the VW Golf, ranks 7th and the 2017 #3, the Ford Fiesta, doesn’t crack the August Top 10.
