Kazakhstan June 2017: Lada 4×4 back on top in market up 16%

The valiant Lada 4×4 is the best-selling nameplate in Kazakhstan in June.

Thanks to our partnership with autoconsulting.kz, we can share with you June 2017 data for Kazakhstan. The Kazakh new vehicle market confirms it is on the mend with a 16% year-on-year rise in June to 4.588 registrations. Halfway through 2017 though, the YTD tally remains in negative for now at -9% to 19.951 units. Market leader Toyota (18.8%) is threatened this month by Lada, lurking just four units below at 18.7% share. UAZ is up four spots on May to land on the third step of the podium, knocking Ravon down one rank to #4, Renault is up 3 spots to $5, GAZ down one to #6 and Hyundai down 3 to #4 while Iveco surges up 22 ranks on May, going fro #30 to #8. Chevrolet is up two to #10, Ssangyong up 6 to #17 but Peugeot is down 17 to #30. Model-wise, the Lada 4×4 (aka Niva) reclaims the top spot for the first time since last February with 8.5% of the market, distancing the Toyota Camry, GAZ Gazelle, Lada Granta and Lada Largus.
