Malaysia April 2017: Honda, Proton and Toyota push up
Honda sales are up 22% year-on-year in April in Malaysia.

The Malaysian new car market edges past its year-ago score in April at +1% to 42.746 registrations, yet the year-to-date total is up 5.8% to 183.586 thanks to a good start of the year. Usually beating the market, leader Perodua drops 3% this month to 33.6% share, almost double the #2 Honda at 17% (+22%) with Proton (+25%) and Toyota (+42%) also both frankly outpacing the market. Below, Nissan (-28%), Mercedes (-33%), Isuzu (-15%) and Mazda (-24%) struggle but BMW (+35%), Kia (+41%) and most impressively Subaru (+147%) shine.
