Colombia May 2016: Renault & Ford post double-digit gains, market at -13%
Ford sales are up 14% year-on-year in May in Colombia.

Colombia is back in hell in May: after -21% in January, -11% in February and -20% in March there was a glimmer of hope in April at -7% but May volumes are back down 13% to 19.485 units, pulling the market down 15% year-to-date to 96.613 sales. Market leader Chevrolet (-22%) keeps its distance with fast-growing Renault (+11%) at 24.3% share this month vs. 18.6% for the French manufacturer, these figures to be compared with a respective 24.5% (-14%) and 20.1% (+6%) year-to-date. These two brands dominate the Colombian market head and shoulders so far this year, with Kia (-7%), Ford (+14%) and Mazda (+4%) rounding up the May Top 5. Notice also Mitsubishi (+4%), Toyota (+7%), Ssangyong (+21%), Honda (+27%), Hino (+38%) and Changan (+61%) all posting positive results inside the Top 30.
