Belgium April 2016: New gen propels Audi A4 into Top 5
Audi A4 sales are up 99% year-on-year in April thanks to the new generation.

New light vehicles sales in Belgium are up 5% year-on-year in April to 61.161 registrations including light commercials. This leads to a year-to-date tally up 3% to 230.316 units. Renault is the runaway leader in the brands ranking thanks to sales up 10% to 7.108 and 11.6% share, ahead of Volkswagen at 9.9% (+9%) and Peugeot at 7.8% (+5%). Mercedes is up a stunning 39% year-on-year this month to land in 4th position with 7.3% share, distancing BMW (+7%), Opel (+16%) and Audi (+13%). Nissan (+23%), Kia (+30%), Mazda (+84%), Honda (+109%), Jaguar (+121%) and Tesla (+129%) also impress.
Mercedes is up 39% to rank 4th best-selling brand in Belgium in April.
In the models ranking, the VW Golf holds onto the lead despite a 13% drop, distancing the Renault Scénic (+1%) and Clio (-3%) with the Peugeot 308 up 5% to #4 and the Audi A4 doubling its sales year-on-year to land at a splendid 5th place overall with 1.048 sales (#12 so far in 2016 vs. #28 in 2015). The Hyundai Tucson is down four spots on March but still ranks at an outstanding 6th place, leading its segment above the VW Tiguan, up 100% to #8. Other great performers include the Renault Captur up 26% to #7, the Peugeot 2008 up 58% to #10, Opel Astra up 32% to #14 and Mercedes CLA up 83% to #19.
