Paraguay Full Year 2015: Toyota Hilux leads, Chevy Tracker up

2015 is a year to forget in Paraguay: new car sales are down a harsh 20% to 24.559 units. Kia remains the most popular manufacturer, improving its share by two percentage points to 21.7% thanks to 5.339 sales while Toyota (-25%) overtakes Hyundai (-48%) with Fiat (+21%), Chevrolet (-2%) and Suzuki (-2%) resisting well in the Top 10. None as well as Chinese carmaker Changan though, surging from outside the 2014 Top 15 right into 10th place with 543 sales and 2.2% share. Once again the Toyota Hilux is the best-selling nameplate in the country despite sales sinking 32% to 2.083. It distances the Kia Rio (-17%), Picanto (-33%) and Hyundai Accent (+3%) with the Kia Sportage (-7%) rounding up the Top 5. The Chevrolet Tracker is up 55% to #6 and the Nissan Frontier up 4% to #7.
